Muhammad Talha: Resilience- Our Ability to Bounce Back
ILUUF Presents Muhammad Talha on Sunday, January 26
The Iowa Lakes Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (ILUUF) presents Muhammad Talha on Sunday, January 26th at 10am at the Lakes Area Activity (Senior) Center located at 2101 Zenith Avenue in Spirit Lake.
In his talk, “Resilience: Our Ability to Bounce Back from Life Challenges,” Talha aims to challenge the common perception of individuals who have faced hardships as broken or lost. Instead, he will highlight how these individuals are uniquely equipped to become leaders, heal, and reach their full potential. Drawing on his personal experiences, Talha will explore how resilience stems from the mind, not the body, and how persistence leads to personal growth and eventual success. He will encourage the audience to embrace dreaming big, staying consistent, and trusting their journey as they discover their unique paths to success.
Muhammad Talha is a 24-year-old nursing student, Iowa UNA College Ambassador, and Panther Ambassador at the University of Northern Iowa. He is the first international nursing student at UNI and serves as the president of the nursing club. Talha is also a certified nursing assistant (CNA) and works in international admissions, showcasing his leadership and dedication to community building.
A survivor of the war in Ukraine, where he was previously an international medical student, Talha brings a unique perspective shaped by resilience and determination. He has visited seven countries, speaks seven languages, and has participated in Model United Nations (MUN) at the UN Headquarters.
Beyond academics, Talha is a pickleball and chess champion, a fitness enthusiast, and a published model. He is currently working on his first book, aiming to inspire others with his story. With dreams of giving a TED Talk and a passion for making a difference, Talha is committed to leaving a meaningful impact in healthcare, politics, and beyond.
